The bigger your aquarium is, the more of a pain it becomes to reach the bottom, the back of the tank, or the bottom of the back of the tank. Whether the rock or coral is fully out of reach or you simply don’t want to get your hands wet, aquarium tongs have been an important tool for literally extending your reach.
Nothing about aquarium grabbers or tongs has fundamentally changed in over twenty years with virtually all makes and models using two grabby fingers or claws to clamp down in items of interest. So you can imagine our interest when we came across these Coral Clamps in the Aqua-China Aquarium Supply booth at CIPS in China which have three claws. 
With 50% more ‘grabbyness’, the coral clamps should make it much easier to manipulate items too far or too deep in your aquarium. There’s still certain objects like shelves, cords and hoses which may be easier to grab with two claws instead of three, but for everything else, especially when trying to adjust a coral ‘just so’, the three claws of the Coral Clamps should come in mighty handy (pun intended).
The Coral Clamps are available in 60, 80 and 100 cm lengths and have a retail price that tops out around $50 for the largest model. For the life of us we couldn’t find a website or page referencing these Coral Clamps but we’ll be sure to update when we see some contact info or an order page for these useful aquarium accessories.
